International Women's Week - Day 4

Updated: Mar 11, 2022

It's day four and today we are talking to our amazing Finance Manager, Andrea! She has worked for the company for over 10 years and is integral to the day to day running of our UK website!

What does MacKenzie-Childs mean to you?

My love for Mackenzie Childs started over 10 years ago when I was given a little enamel Courtly Check plate keyring as a gift. I was fascinated by the colours that were present - in a pattern that, on first glance, looks to be black and white. It’s the unique nature of every piece and it’s blend of colours within that fascinates me. Like all of us I guess – what you see on first glance isn’t always what you get.

What does it mean to you to be a woman working for MacKenzie-Childs?

I love working with Mackenzie Childs! On reflection it really is incredible how my role here has morphed over the last 14 years, allowing me to raise my family and be a Mum, whilst still maintaining my identity as a working woman.

Who is an influential woman in your life?

I’m so lucky to say that I have 3! My gorgeous Mum, the kindest, gentlest lady I know, and also my two amazing twentysomething daughters, who are my closest friends and who make me proud every single day. There’s nothing I love more than a lunch with these three beautiful souls – I’m so honoured to have them all in my life.

What is your favourite MacKenzie-Childs product?

Oooo! So many to choose from but right now I think it’s got to be the lovely MacKenzie Childs sunglasses that are on my desk! I just need a sunny day to be able to show them off to their full potential!!

What is your message for International Women's Week?

My advice to all women is ‘Stand in your power’. Whenever I’m feeling down or challenged I repeat this to myself and it gives me strength and courage.
